as may lie in our individual power we shall be exercising true Masonry . Thus , Brethren , may we be found working , and working well , when the Supreme Grand Master returns to inspect the work , and summonses us before His " Supreme Council , " and if you can then pronounce " Shibboleth , " He

will admit us into the sanctum sanctorum " His Holy of Holies . " That we , believing in the work of our Supreme Grand Master , in His three-fold nature—the " triple triangle " and in the two-fold nature of his Son , God and Man , the " double triangle . "

My Brethren of the Craft , may we therefore walk as children of the light , and be hereafter made partakers with His saints in light . That not one member of our respective mother Lodges may be absent from that great assembly of Brethren , as the Outer Guard passes the Brethren to the

Inner Guard , that each may give the pass word and sign , and having saluted the Grand Master , be found worthy to pass from labour to refreshment in the Grand Lodge of Heaven , that this may be the blessed experience of every Mason present , I devoutly pray—So MOTE IT BE .

— . u . — FYLDE LODGE , No . 296 . Installation of Brother Whittaker Bond . THE duties of this Lodge were resumed at the Masonic Hall , Adelaide Street , Blackpool , on Thursday , 24 th ult ., Bro . liios . Forrester W . M . presiding .

Bro . Thos . Ferguson Sec . read the summons convening the meeting , and the minutes of the previous Lodge meeting , the latter of which were duly confirmed . The Auditors then presented their annual report , which was of a most gratifying character .

Bro . Whittaker . Bond S . W . W . M .-elect was installed in the chair in a most impressive manner by Bro . John Wray P . M . P . P . G . D ., and the new Master invested his Officers as follow : — -Bros . J . Cardwell S . W ., Thos . Ferguson J . W ., H . Gardner P . M . P . P . G .

At the conclusion of this ceremony Bro . J . Wray delivered , in eloquent and instructive manner , the address to the newly appointed Wardens and Officers . Bro . Lingard , Portal Lodge , No . 171 P . P . G . W . ( W . Yorks ) was present .

At the conclusion of the Lodge business the members adjourned to the banquetting hall , where high tea was partaken of . The proceedings at the social board were of a more than usually interesting character , the occasion being not only the annual festival of the Lodge , but the . date also of Her Majesty ' s birthday , and of the local celebration of the " Relief of Mafeking . "

• V BLACKPOOL LODGE , No . 1476 . Installation of Brother T . Sankey . f-jn HE members and visiting Brethren turned up in good numbers JL at the Masonic Hall , Upper Adelaide Street , Blackpool , on Tuesday evening , 8 th ult ., when Bro . T . Sankey S . W . was installed

as W . M . The ceremony was performed by Bro . W . Nuttall I . P . M . The Worshipful Master was afterwards addressed by Dr . W . B . Richardson P . P . G . J . W . Addresses were also given by Bro . Brooks P . M . to the Wardens , and by Bro . T . Loftos P . D . G . R . to the members generally .

Installation of Brother William Pengelly . nn HE installation meeting of this capital little Lodge took place in JL the Masonic Temple , Duncombe Street , Kingsbridge , on Monday , 14 th ult ., when the Lodge was opened by the W . M . Bro . E . J . Wilson , and after the minutes had been put for confirmation , was advanced to the second degree .

The Introductory part of the Installation ceremony was taken by Bro . Robert Chase P . M . and Secretary , who administered the obligation to the Master-Elect Brother William Pengelly , who previously assented in the usual manner to the various charges and regulations .

The installation ceremony was ably carried out by the Installing Master and Bro . William Pengelly was duly placed as Master of the year in the chair of King Solomon . After the Brethren were admitted Bro . George Hooper P . M . P . P . G . S . Wks . and Director of Ceremonies marshalled them , and

they saluted the W . M . in the three degrees . Bro . George Hooper also very ettectively rendered the addresses to the W . M ., Wardens , and Brethren The W . M . invested the following Brethren as his Officers for the ensuing year : Bros . W . J . White S . W ., A . C . Periton J . W .,

selected as the Installing Master for the occasion , but they had unfortunately at the last moment to call in the assistance of Bros , Chase and Hooper . Another communication was from the G . Secretary conveying to
