This interesting and impressive function was held in the Masonic Temple , Cafe Monico , on Thursday , the 25 th ult . The ceremony was performed by Comp . E . Letchworth , F . S . The CONSECRATING PRINCIPAL , addressing the companions , alluded to the ancient lodge from which the chapter was to derive its name ; it had flourished for over one hundred and fifty years , and certainly their action in founding the chapter could not be regarded as premature .

Admiration of the furniture and appointments of the chapter , the bulk of which had been presented by the founders , was generally expressed by the visitors .
Seven candidates were proposed for exaltation at the next meeting . On the proposition of the ; M . E . Z ., the Consecrating Officers were duly elected honorary members of the chapter , and presented with founders ' jewels . Comp . E . LETCHWORTH , G . Scribe E ., gracefully acknowledged the compliment of membership on behalf of the Consecrating Officers .
The chapter being closed , the companions adjourned to banquet in the Parisian Salon . The usual loyal toasts were duly given and observed . In proposing the toast of "The Consecrating Officers , " the M . E . Z . dwelt upon the admirable way in which they had carried out their work , and trusted it would serve as a model to the companions .
Comp . LETCHWORTH , G . S . E ,, replied : He was glad to see tbe chapter start its career with so strong an element , and entertained no doubt concerning its failure . The toast of "The M . E Z . He alluded to the pleasure it afforded to see such a strong Cambridge University section among the founders , several of whom were members of the lodge of which he was a P . M .
In dealing with the toast of "The Other Principals , " the M . E . Z . thanked lhe previous speakers for their kindly references to the work of the Principals at Cambridge . They were tried R . A . companions , and the union of such blood with that of the Strong Man Lodge would surely produce good results . was sure that from the very great interest he took in Masonry in general and the lodge in particular that he would discharge his important duties with satisfaction to himself and advantage to the lodge . After the Iodge had been opened , the second ceremony was worked by the W . M . On a proposition by Bro . Thompson , seconded by Bro . Times , the sum of 10 guineas was unanimously voted to be given from the funds of the lodge to the Royal Masonic Institution for Boys , the same to be placed on the list of Bro . Godfrey Sykes , representing the lodge at the forthcoming festival . The W . M ., Bro . A . P . Crabb , then installed his successor , Bro . F . Howard Rosher , who appointed and invested the following officers , whom he addressed according to Emulation working : Bros . Ino .

The W . M . gave the toast of "The Grand Officers , Present and Past , " and called on Bro . Pitt-Lewis , P . G . D ., to respond . Bro . G . Pitt-Lewis , Q . C , P . G . D ., responded in an interesting speech , in which he reminded the brethren that , although now not a member of it , he was an old P . M . of the lodge . Bro . Alfred P . Crabb , I . P . M ., Ihen rose and said that he had the most important toast of the evening to propose , namely , that of "The newly-installed W . M ., " and he
was sure that from the very great interest he took in Masonry in general and the lodge in particular that he would discharge his important duties with satisfaction to himself and advantage to the lodge . The W . M ., Bro . F . Howard Rosher , who received quite an ovation , expressed his sincere thanks forthe good fteling of thebrethren towards him , and said that he would do all in his power to further the interests of the lodge . Before resuming his seat he gave the toast of " The Past Masters of the Lodge , " and called on Bro . Eve , P . G . T . to respond . " '
Bro . R . Eve , P . M ., P . G . Treas ., responded at some length in an eloquent and impressive speech which interested all present . He regretted to see s 6 few Past Masters present , but death had claimed many excellent Masons who had been attached to the lodge , amongst those who were gone were Bros . R . C . Driver , P . G . D ., who had been their Secretary for 37 years , and G . W . Lemon , P . A . G . D . C , the former Treasurer . But it was a pleasure to see that they had young and energetic Masons like Bros . Thompson and Times , who had the iotertst of tlie lodge at heart , and were quite ready to give their time to its affairs .
Bro . Harry Nicholls , P . M ., Sec . 2127 , responded to the toast of "The Visitors , " and congratulated the lodge on the excellent working of the installation ceremony . The toast of "The Installing Master" was responded to by Bro . Crabb , and that of " The Officers " by Bros . Sykes , S . W ., and Ellam , I . G . During the evening the brethren were entertained with an excellent musical programme , under the direction of Bro . Reginald Groome , assisted by Misses Percival Allen , Noona Macquoid , Diisy Bailey , and Mr . W . A . Peterkin ; musical sketches by Bros . Herbert Sparling and Lovell-Kmg , while Mr . Byrd Page succeeded in mystifying all present with some experiments with cards and other tricks of sleight-of-hand .

Turner , was held in the Masonic Rooms , Doncaster , on Friday , the 2 nd inst ., when there ' were present Bros . T . W . Turner , W . M . j S . Duff , S . W . ; H . C White , Sec . ; Reasbeck S . Langbiidge , Bodger , and Constable ' Fenton , Barber , Elland , Brew , and Simpson , all of 2259 . '
The lodge was opened and the minutes of the previous meeting read and confirmed . Bros . Ord , Pratt , and Marsdin , all E . As ., were passed to the Degree of F . C , the work being excellently performed by the W . M . Several apologies were offered for unavoidable absence and the lodge was closed . A very pleasant hour was afterwards spent in refreshment , toast , and song .
