THE installation of the M . P . S . and V . E . of the De la Pole Conclave , 132 , Hall , is fixed for Monday next , the 26 th inst ., when the ceremonies will be performed by III . Sir Knight J . W . Woodall P . Int . Geu . for North and East Yorkshire , who will probably be aided by the Sovereigns of the Do la Polo , Eboracnm , and White Eose of York Conclaves . Several candidates will be installed members of the Order , and a large gathering is anticipated ,

examined aud entrusted Bro . II . J . Joues , who retired . Tho Lodgo was opened on tho squaro , Bro . Jones re-admitted , and advanced to the degree of F . C . Bro . Tozor wa 3 then presented as a candidato for tho sublime degroe , and tho usual preliminaries having been observed , ho withdrew until after tho opening of tho Lodge on tho centre , when ho was duly raised to tho degree of a Master Mason .

Both ceromonios wero admirably rendered by tho Master , and tho Lodgo is to bo congratulated in having a brother in tho chair so perfect in tho ritual . Bro . J . Hurst I . P . M . was appointed Steward for tho Eoyal Masonic Institution for Girls . A lotter was received from E . W . Bro . Colonel Bnrdotl , P . G . M . Middlesex , regretting absence from homo precluded his attendance , and a similar communication was sent by Bro . J . E . Hunt D . C . All other business

being concluded , tho Lodgo was closed , and tho brethren adjourned to partako of refreshments well catered by Bro . Murphy . Tho usual Loyal and Masonic toasts followed . All tho speeches were judiciously short , the responses hearty , tho firing excellent , tho enjoyment thorough , and after somo vocal contributions by Bros . Hnrsfc , Jessott and Walls , tho brethren separated , at an early hour . Tho next meeting will be held Thursday , 17 th January 1878 .

Upton Lodge of Instruction , No . 1227 . —Held , its Aveekly meeting at Bros . Bolton and Lane ' s , the King and Queen , Norton Folgato , at 8 p . m ., on Friday the 9 th inst . There were present Bros . Lane W . M ., Carrociero S . W ., A . Posener jun . J . W ., Fonner Preceptor , Townsend Sec , Hine S . D ., Kent J . D ., Smith I . G ., also Bros . W . W . opened with tho usual formalities , minutes read and confirmed . Bro . Posener sen ., having answered tho questions , was entrusted . Lodgo was advanced to 2 nd degree , when the ceremony of passiug was ably rehearsed by the W . M ., Bro . Posener sen . being candidate . Bro . Fenner worked the 1 st section of the lecture , assisted by tho brethren . Lodge was then closed in due form .

Friars Lodge of Instruction , No . 1349 . —This Lodge held its usual meeting at Bro . Wright ' s , Cheshire Cheese , Crufcched Friars , on Thursday evening . Bro . Shepherd W . M ., Hewlett S . W ., Calverley J . W ., Musto P . M . Preceptor . Tho Lodge wa 3 opened in due form , tho minutes read and confirmed . Bro . Weir having offered himself as candidate , answered the necessary questions , and was

entrusted . The Lodgo was opened in the second degree , and the ceremony worked by the W . M . ; tho Lodgo was resumed in the first degree , Bro . Calverley assisted Bro . Hogg in working the second section ; Bro . Shepherd assisted Bro . Ellis in working tho fourth . The S . W . was elected W . M . for the ensuing week , and the Lodge was closed .
