The W . M . gave the numerous toasts in an effective manner . In responding to his health the Provincial Grand Master spoke in high terms of the lodge and its members , and hoped to see them again ere long . Bro . F . Mead , P . G . Sec , also expressed himself as

being highly pleased with No . 1 S 1 , and for the cordial reception accorded to him and his brother visitors . Other replies followed . The success of the day ' s proceedings was mainly due to the exertions of thc executive members of thc lodge , headed by Bro . W . Fisher . Treas .

Lodge was opened in due form , and the minutes of the

last lodge read and confirmed . Lodge was opened in the Second Degree , and Bro . Shaw having answered the usual questions , was entrusted . Lodge was opened in the Third Degree , and Bro . Shaw ably raised to the Degree of a M . M . Lodge was resumed to the First Degree , and the 1 st Section of the Lecture was worked by Bro . Andrews ,

M . and founder of the Surbiton Lodge , No . 2146 , originated [ recently a new departure in thc instruction lodges of the district , viz ., the practice of members of one lodge visiting another on meeting nights , and assisting in the work in progress . At the meeting of the lodge under notice on Tuesday evening , the

14 th inst ., the brethren received | members of the Arnold and Brownrigg lodges of instruction , and there was a total muster of nearly 50 brethren . The work of the evening was the installation ceremony , which was carried out in an enjoyable manner by Bro . A . M . Levy , then W . M . of the Dobie Lodge , No . M . and founder of the Surbiton Lodge , No . 2146 , originated [ recently a new departure in thc instruction lodges of the district , viz ., the practice of members of one lodge visiting another on meeting nights , and assisting in the work in progress . At the meeting of the lodge under notice on Tuesday evening , the

14 th inst ., the brethren received | members of the Arnold and Brownrigg lodges of instruction , and there was a total muster of nearly 50 brethren . The work of the evening was the installation ceremony , which was carried out in an enjoyable manner by Bro . A . M . Levy , then W . M . of the Dobie Lodge , No .
