SURBITON LODGEKNo . 214 G ) . —The Preceptor of this lodge of instruction , Bro . F . P . Hill , a P . M . and founder of the Surbiton Lodge , No . 2146 , originated [ recently a new departure in thc instruction lodges of the district , viz ., the practice of members of one lodge visiting another on meeting nights , and assisting in the work in progress . At the meeting of the lodge under notice on Tuesday evening , the

14 th inst ., the brethren received | members of the Arnold and Brownrigg lodges of instruction , and there was a total muster of nearly 50 brethren . The work of the evening was the installation ceremony , which was carried out in an enjoyable manner by Bro . A . M . Levy , then W . M . of the Dobie Lodge , No . S 89 , but who on the next evening vacated the chair to install a new Master in Bro . James
