George Scott and Andrew Eeid , who had been duly

advanced to the degree of Mark Masters at the last meeting , Comp Lamb Z . then introduced , and admitted as Most Excellent Masters , Comp . J . Duthie Z of 67 officiating . The Chapter was then opened , and the same two gentlemen were duly exalted . Comp . Lambe then returned the thanks of the Chapter to Companions Duthie , Wheeler and Mercer , for their assistance in working these degrees . They suitably acknowledged the compliment .

Baron , & c , & c . Tho Chapter was opened by tho Principals , when the rest of the Companions wero admitted , and tho minutes confirmed . The ballot was then taken for Bro . Edmund Fearenside , which proving iu his favour , he , being present , was exalted , together with Bro . Eobert Winder , who had been elected at a previous meeting . On the invitation of tho M . E . Z ., the ceremony was performed by E . Comp .

It was decided to hold the annual festival atRigg ' s Hotel , Windermere , on Thursday , 22 nd June , when a very pleasant reunion is anticipated . Committee , on condition of its being refunded to tho Lodge . Bro . Higginson moved , Pro . Jchn MrBtide seconded , ard it repassed unanimously , that the best thanks of this Lodge are due am ! ate hereby tendered to Bro . M . Gilliland for the great trouble he hataken in preparing a new set of . Lodge account books , and particularly for the accurate register he has given of all members connected with

the Lodge since its establishment one hundred and : < neteen years ago A letter was received and read from tl v Secretary of the Masonic Male and Female Orphan Schools , Dublin , acknowledging the increase contribution sent from this Lodge . Mr . Gustavus Geo . Tew received the benefit of the first degree , at the hands of Bro . Tallentiic Lodge then closed and adjourned for refreshments .

of the Province to onr Most Worshipful Grand Master His Grace the Duke of Abercorn , on tho occasion of his forthcoming visit to Belfast , nn the 21-th May , was taken into consideration , and it was moved by Bro . Higginson and seconded by Bro . Mussen , that this Lodge be represented at presentation of address . All tho members present

expressed their desiro to witness the ceremony , and the Secretary was instructed to procure tickets accordingly , and to intimate result of special meeting called to consider circular to Provincial Grand Secretary . Bro . Tew being in attendance , was passed to Fellow Craft degree , in excellent style , by Bro . Higginson . Lodgo was then closed in ancient form , in peace , love and harmony .

Levy P . M . the latter . A letter was received from Bro . E . J . Harty , requesting tho portraits of those brethren who were at tho Albert Hall on the Installation of

H . R . H . tho M . W . G . M . for the Historical Engraving of that great event . A distressed brother was relieved from the funds of the Lodge with the sum of £ 3 3 s . Bro . 0 . Eoberts P . M . said he had a pleasing duty to perform , and that was to propose that tho Lodgo present their respected Bro . E . P . Albert G . P . with his Grand Lodge clothing and jewel . It was n pleasing fact that the Grand Lodge had chosen one

so highly tespected for its honours , and tho selection had shed lustre on their Lodge . He had for ten years been their Hon . Secretary , and in that capacity had saved the Lodge a considerable sum of money , besides carrying out the arduous duties satisfactorily . He was sure they would , in approval of Bro . Albert's conduct , carry this proposition . Bro . Israel Abrahams P . M . seconded . During a very eloquent

speech ho said , No one in the Lodge could measure Bro . Albert's ser . vices . lie gives valuable time gratuitously to this numerous Lodge , and all its members were under obligations to him . The motion was carried unanimously , amid the plaudits of tho brethren . The W . M , in informing Bro . Albert , said , ho hoped he might live long to wear it as an honour and credit to tho Lodge .
