On Wednesday , Oct . 26 , AV . Bro . J . L . Evans , P . G . S . B ., in tbe chair , seven petitioners Avere relieved , to the estent of 85 Z . On Wednesday , Nov . 30 , R . W . Bro . W . P . Beadon , P . J . G . W ., in the chair , thirteen petitioners were rebeved , to the extent of 118 Z . On the recommendation of the Lodge of Benevolenceon the 30 th
, of November , the petition of Mary , AA-idow of tbe late Bro . W . Shaw , P . M . of the Grand SfceAvards' Lodge , was recommended to tbe Grand Lodge for relief , to the estent of 100 Z ., which recommendation , as will be seen by the report of tbe G . L ., passed in tbe affirmative .

We beg to call especial attention to the advertisement announcing a Festival to be held at Freemasons' Hall , on Wednesday , Pebruary 6 th , 1854 , under the Presidency of tbe M . W . the G-. M ., the Earl of Zetland , in behalf of the funds of the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution for aged Preemasons and their Avidows . A more influential list of SteAvards could not have been published ; and we are not without hope that a goodlmuster of the Brethren
y will rally round the G . M ., and respond liberally to the appeal , which will be made in behalf of tbe reci pients of this Charity , especiall y of the widows of deceased . Brethren . We also sincerely hope , that a well-directed effort will be made to raise sufficient funds for the completion of tbe building at Croydon .
