All eommunications for the Editor , to ensure insertion in the next week ' s number , should be forwarded to the office , 2 , Red Lion Court , Fleet Street , E . C , not later than Saturday . Illustrated covers for the last volume ofthe Magazine for 1858 are now ready , price Is . ; or the volumes ( containing twenty-six numbers ) may be hacl bound price 14 s . 6 d ., or with gilt edges 15 s . Sd . Brethren can have their volumes bound

at the office if they desire it , for Is . 6 U , or with gilt edges 2 s . Gd . Advertisers will oblige by forwarding their favours at the latest by 12 o ' clock on Monday morning . AYe shall be happy to receive essays or lectures on Masonie subjects , returning them ( should they not be accepted ) if desired .

"P . M" and "M . M . " shall be attended to . Bro . Heynemann , of Philadelphia , United States , is about to publish as full a Masonic Directory as possible . "A CONSTANT READEB . " — The border of a Masonic oilcloth should , in our opinion , be of the same colour as the centre , only indented or tesselated . The tassels to represent gold . In Scotland they make no reference to the tesselated border , but to the taselled corners of the Lodge .

A CORRESPONDENT wishes to know who are the manufacturers of Masonic carpets . "H . A . H . "—AA ' e can see no objection to the introduction of a dirge into the ceremony in question . Indeed we should consider it rather an improvement than otherwise , if efficiently executed ,
