Sackville Lodge , No . 1619 . —The closing mooting for this year of this prosperous Lodgo was held on Tuesday , tho 7 th instant , at 5 p . m ., at tho Crown Hotel , East Gvinatcad . Cooper , C . Firbank , G . XV . Holmes and Mark Ovenden . Visitors : —Bros . A . AV . Thorpe S . W . Caveac

to the sublime degree of M . M . Upon the conclusion of this ceremony the Lodgo was resumed to tho second and first degrees , when tho j W . M . referred to a letter ho had received from Bro . Head J . W ., giving i as tho cause of his absence the death of a very near relative . Upon | the suggestion of tho W . M . the brethren unanimously agreed that tho Secretary should write Bro . Head o . vf-rossivo of thoir sympathy with him in his aflliction . Tho Secretary then read letters of regret

at being unable to attend from Uros . T' . M . iVoke , Dickman , Woolgar and I'ilo . Tho Lodge was then closed in perfect harmony and tho brethren afterwards assembled in tlio spacious Market Itoom of the Hotel , and did full justice to a substantial repast , servod by Bro . Ovenden , at which all the usual loyal and other toasts wore duly honoured . At about eleven o ' clock the W . M . brought the proceedings to a close .

To establish scholarships and otherwise support pupils at the Universities and othor public schools , or assist boys who may desire to enter the Army or Navy and aid thorn in obtaining

To establish scholarships and otherwise support pupils at the Universities and othor public schools , or assist boys who may desire to enter the Army or Navy and aid thorn in obtaining

commissions . And generall y to watcli over the future of the pupils , and liolp them in secnrinir success in life .

Brethren who desire to assist in establishing this Fund will oblige by forwarding their names to bo added to the above List .
