The Masonic. Mie.Roe,

proprietors , of the Freemasons' Tavern in their usual style of excellence . The visitors were Bros . Lord William Lennox , Jackson , Morgan , Gordon , and Yale . Bro . H „ Braham contributed greatly to the pleasure of the evening by his admirable singing . Globe Lodge ( No . 23 ) . —The members of this Lodge met at the Freemasons ' Tavern , on the 15 th January , for the purpose of witnessing the installation of the W . M . elect , Bro . Charles Goodman , who had been deservedly elected at the last

meeting to fill this onerous ohnce for the year ensuing . Bro . William Watson , P . M . performed the ceremony , with that pathos and feeling for which he has ever been famous . The W . M . having taken his seat , appointed the following Brethren to the various offices : —Bros . Bebbeek , S . W . ; Haigh , J . W . ; Flowright , S . D . ; Butler , J . D . ; Haines , I . G . ; and Collins , D . C . Among the visitors were Bros . Lazarus , P . M ., Joppa Lodge ; Garrod , Bomatic Lodge ; and a P . M . from India , who expressed his delight at the admirable working of this distinguished Lodge . A most harmonious evening was spent , which was enhanced by some beautiful vocalization of our Bros . Thomas Young and G . Perron .

Egbert Burns ' s Lodge ( No . 25 ) . —The members of this Lodge held their monthly meeting on Monday , January 25 , at the Freemasons' Tavern , for the installation of the W . M . and other business . The W . M . elect , Bro . S . W . Clements , was installed by Bro . William Watson , P . M ., who performed the ceremony in his usual able and impressive manner , in the presence of ten P . Ms . ; amongst whom was Bro . Inirie , who introduced and initiated Bro . Clements into the Order in 1844 , when he was W . M . ; this being the first installation he has

attended for six or seven 3 ^ ears . The W . M . appointed his officers for the ensuing year : — -Bro . Bennett , S . W ., who was unavoidably absent in consequence of indisposition ; Bro . Farmer , J . W . ; Bro . Neats , S . D . ; Bro . B . Warren , J . D . ; Bro . Beach , I . G . ; Bro . Previtt , S . W . S . ; Bro . Gladwin , J . W . S . ; Bro . Caldwell , C . S . ; Bro . Newton , B . C . Two gentlemen , Messrs . Pierpoint and Batson , were initiated into the Order by the W . M ., in a manner which elicited from the Brethren strong

marks of approbation . The Brethren were also delighted by the impressive way he proposed the health of the newly initiated Brethren , charging them to be careful to maintain the dignity of Masonry . The toast was responded to by Bro . Pierpoint in a very effective manner . To the toast of " The Visitors" Bro . Warren , P . M ., No . 202 , returned thanks , and alluded to the happy hours he had spent as a member of the Robert Burns ' s Lodge , in which he was initiated ; and the pleasure he felt at once more meeting Bro . Tmrie in Lodge , after an interval of thirteen years .

Castle Lodge or Hahmony ( No . 27 ) - —This long-established red-apron Lodge met on Monday , the 26 th of January , at the Thatched House , St . James ' s-street , presided over by the W . M ., Bro . Bobert Warner Wheeler . Bro . Luff , W . M . of the Lodge of Union , No . 318 , was admitted a joining member ; and a ballot was taken for the Grand Steward to he presented , and Bro . Heard was elected . The Lodge being opened in the 2 nd Degree , Bro . Thomas Harvey Hill , the W . M . elect , being presented by Bro . Dr . Hingeman for installation ; he was accepted ,

and obligated , installed , and saluted in the several Degrees , by Bro . Wheeler , assisted by several Past Masters . The W . M . then appointed and invested his Officers , Bros . 11 . W . Wheeler , P . M . ; Heard , S . W . ; Wood , J . W ., & c . The Lodge being closed , the Brethren retired to banquet . Among the visitors present were Bros . Masaon , Prov . G . Sword Bearer ; Bev . G . B . Portal , How , Tomkins , andAckland . The W . M ., in returning thanks for his health , said ho would

endeavour to follow the good example of his predecessor in the Chair ; and referred to the universal rule of life , which taught children to look up to their parents for guidance , so should the Master of a Lodge follow in the steps , and adopt the precepts and practice of the Past Masters . We are p leased to learn , that by the infusion of new members , twx > having joined this evening , there is a prospect of this highly respected Lodge having ere long a considerable increase of members .
