Escalente , were severally introduced , and the Degree of Knight of the East and West was conferred on them ; and the Chapter of Rose Croix was opened , and the above Companions were introduced , and having
passed through the solemn ceremonies , were acknowledged as Sovereign Princes of Rose Croix Masons . There is another Chapter , under the distinctive title of "La Sincerity et La Fraternidad , " of which Bro . Cassard is at the head , working under the same jurisdiction . Zetland L / odge in the East ( No . 748 ) . —We are glad to hear this very influential Lodge has purchased a suitable house for a Masonic Hall , on a most admirable site and conspicuous situation fronting the harbour . The inauguration of the New Temple was to come off on the 27 th December last , St . John ' s Day .
TRINIDAD . Royal Philanthropic Lodge ( No . 585 ) . —The second regular meeting of this Lodge for the present month , was held this 27 th day of November , 1856 , being the period fixed by the By daws for the installation of the W . M . and Office-hearers for the ensuing twelve months , Bro . Daniel Hart , who had been re-elected as W . M ., was duly proclaimed and saluted by the members as such . After which the Worshipful Brother invested the following Brethren as the Officers of the Lodge : —Bros . William G . Rochford , S . W . ; Henry Van Buren , J .
