DERBYSHIRE . QmBJ . —Tyrian Lodge ( No . 315 ) .- —The Brethren held a Lodge of Emergency at the Royal Hotel , on the 5 th January ,, when Bro . Hall was passed to the Bellow Craft Degree , and Bro . William Can trill was raised to the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason .

Royal Sussex Lodge ( No . 446 ) . —The Brethren held their Lodge on 5 th January , when Bro . S . Henchley , jun ., was duly installed W . M . for the ensuing year , by P . M . Mason . Bro . Henchley then proceeded to appoint his officers as follows : — Bros . W . Prince , S . W . ; Redfearn , J . W . ; Wykes , S . D . ; H . Carson , J . D . ; Mason , M . C . ; Rev . T . Welch , Chap , j S . Smith , Treas . ; Turner , I . G . ; Peach , Sec . and Hanson , Tyler , The Lodge was honoured by the attendance of several visiting Brethren .

DEVONSHIRE . We understand that in the towns of Plymouth , Devonport , and Stonehouse , there are about 400 Freemasons , and to promote a better acquaintance with one another , it is proposed to hold , early in every year , an aggregate banquet . The suggestion has received the approval of the B . W . Prov . G . M ., Lord Eortescue , and the first banquet is fixed for the 18 th of the present month , at the Royal Hotel , Devonport . The D . Prov . G . M ., the Rev . John Huyshe , is to preside , and Bro . W . Denis Moore , Brov . G . Sec , vice .

Exmouth . —Sun Lodge ( No . 123 ) . —The 7 fch January having been fixed for the installation of the W . M . for the year ensuing , there was a very large assemblage of Masons to do honour to the occasion . After the ancient and accustomed ceremony had been concluded , the Brethren adjourned from labour to refreshment , and did ample justice to the catering of host Bro . Bastin . Upwards of fifty sat down to dinner .

Sotjthmolton . —Loyal Lodge of Industry ( No . 610 ) . —According to ancient custom , the Brethren of this Lodge met on the first Tuesday in January , for the purpose of installing the W . M . for the ensuing year ; the suffrages of the Brethren having fallen on Bro . Wm . Oram , jun ., who was duly installed by Bro . B . M . Galliford , who went through the ceremony with his usual ability . Bro . J . L . Shapland , P . M ., was proposed as a joining member , and Mr . Henry Tanner , of Castle Hill , was proposed as a candidate . The W . M . then elected his Officers as follows ;

—Bros . J . A . Kingdon , S . W . ; Wm . Cole , J . W . ; J . T . Davy , S . D . ; Spicer , J . D . ; Tucker , I . G . ; and Webb , O . G . At four o ' clock the Brethren sat down to a sumptuous banquet , prepared under the superintendence of the Stewards , Bros . Cole and Adams . A liberal supply of game was presented from the M . W . Brov . G . M . for Devon , Earl Eortescue . The usual loyal and Masonic toasts were drunk , and the evening spent in that love and harmony which should always characterize Freemasons . Bros , the Bev . J . C Carwithen , Marsh , Geen , and Bentlcy , of No . 312 , were present .
