Kettering . —Lodge of Perseverance ( No . 666 ) . —The usual monthly meeting of this Lodge was held on Monday , January 12 th , at Freemasons' Hall , Kettering , when the chair was taken by B . M . Bro . Eldred . Bro . Bellars then rose , and with the permission of the W . M ., presented a code of Byedaws for the government of an intended Lodge of Instruction , which is to be held at Wellingborough under the sanction of the above-named Lodge , which met with unanimous approval . The B . M ., with his accustomed ability , initiated Mr . J . W . Davis , surgeon ,

Wellingborough . After Lodge business terminated , the Brethren adjourned to the George Hotel , where they partook of a most excellent supper , provided by Bro . T . Harrodine . After the several usual Masonic toasts were given , B . M . Eldred rose to propose the health of Bro . J . W . Davis , who had on that evening entered upon his Masonic apprenticeship , and whom he had not the least doubt of would add lustre to the Order ; after which Bro . Davis very pleasingly responded by expressing his high opinion of its moral precepts and social virtue , and his readiness at all times to be a working Mason .

The Lodge meetings of the Lodge of Berseverance , No . 6 Q ( y Kettering , are held on the 1 st Monday after the full of the moon . Northampton . —Pomfret Lodge ( No . 463 ) . —The Brethren of this Lodge celebrated the festival of St . John on Monday , the 29 th December . The Lodge was opened by Bro . Worster , the W . M . Shortly afterwards this Brother vacated the

chair , his term of office having expired , and the latter was taken by Bro . Byley , of the Stuart Lodge , Bedford , No . 787 , who attended at the special request of , and to instal Bro . Bichard Thomas Wartnaby into the chair for the ensuing year . The installation ceremony having been perfected in a very able and efficient manner , the W . M . proceeded to name as his Officers Bros . Boberts , as S . W .

Amongst the visiting Brethren , we noticed Bruton , of the Athelstan , No . 19 ; Godden , of the Emulation , No . 21 ; Martin , of the Moira , No . 408 ; Bobins , of the Apollo , No . 460 ; Watkins , Tunnard , Inns , Berkins , of the Fidelity , No . 652 ; Eeatherstone , of the

Merit , No . 687 ; Brior , Byley , and Vialls , of the Stuart , No . 787 ; Kingsland , of the Cliichele } ' -, No . 883 , and Hodges , from Bouen . Dr . Bruton sang several songs , which added much to the hilarity of the evening .

Moepeth . —Lodge de Ogle ( No . 919 ) . —The installation festival of this Lodge was held on Thursday , 11 th December , when Bro . W . E . Franklin , of Newcastleupon-Tyne , was installed W . M . for the ensuing year . It is to be remarked , as : m unusual occurrence , that Bro . Franklin , who is also at the present time W . M . of the borough of Gateshead Lodge , No . ( 514 , received the honour of a special dispensation from the M . W . the Earl of Zetland , the Grand Master , to enable him to fill the chair of two Lodges in the same year . The Lodge de Ogle was on the point of expuing I rom the neglect of its previous ruling Officers , when our zealous Brother Franklin took it upon himself to see the Lodge righted , and not being
