Waterhead Mill , Saddle worth . —Chapter of Confidence ( No . 688 ) . —This Chapter met on Monday evening , the 12 th January , to consider the steps necessary to be taken on the removal of the Tudor Lodge , No . 688 , to which it is attached , to Oldham , in the province of East Lancashire . Whether the Chapter should follow the Lodge , remain in its present situation , or be attached to the Lodge of Candour , No . 422 , Dob Cross , Saddleworth , were severally considered , but nothing was decided upon , and the meeting was adjourned to Monday , the 9 th of February .
"Wigan . —Chapter of Harmony ( jNo . 207 ) . —A convocation of this Chapter was held on Tuesday , the 23 rd December , 1856 , at the feoyal Hotel . There was a good attendance of visitors , amongst whom were Comps . Dawson and Bedick , No . 44 ; J . Ladmore , No . 864 ; and David Shaw , No . 101 . After the Chapter had been opened , the Companions proceeded to the election of five candidates for the Holy Royal Arch Degree , and upon their having been duly elected , they were exalted in a most efficient and impressive manner by Comp . Kedick as Z ., ably
assisted by Comps . Dawson , Miller , Barton , Holmes , Shaw , Ladmore , and Caldwell . The names of the newly-exalted Companions are Gorse and Sherlock , of No . 864 ; T . L . Bold , J . Kearsley , and J . T . Peck , of No . 207 . The Chapter having been closed , the Companions adjourned to the banqueting-room , where the worthy host , Bro . Thomas Whiteside , had provided a recherche banquet , to which ample justice was done . Several of the Craft members having joined to take part in this Degree after the closing of the Chapter ,
