Estcourt , said that with regard to any property bequeathed to corporations for certain specific and charitable purposes , it was not his intention to apply it to the purposes of the borough funds ! A new writ was moved for Oldham , in the room of Mr . Cobbett . Mr . Praed ' s motion that all rights and privileges at present enjoyed , by members of existing corporations , should be secured to the present possessors a nd their descendants , was withdrawn .
