SIR AND BROTHER , —Permit me , through the medium of your valuable Review , to enquire , if there is any regulation regarding Masonic clothing and insignia to be Avorn by the Craft , under the Grand Lodge of Ireland , as there is no mention of it in the Book of Constitutions . I have been induced to make this enquiry in consequence of having seen a- great variety of aprons , collars , sashes , & c . as Avell as jeAvels , Avorn by Brethren at a meeting on the 24 th , St . John ' s day , in a toAvn in the north of Ireland , and Avhen alsoI am sorry to saya particular
, , part of the 32 nd Art . of Sec . 4 th in the Book of Constitutions Avere not strictly adhered to . Trusting I shall not offend , I Avould suggest , for the sake of uniformity , that regulations respectin g Regalia , similar to those in the Book of Constitutions of the Grand Lodge of England , should be made for the guidance of Brethren under the Grand Lodge of Ireland , as the only mention made of Clothing , & c . in the Ahiman Rezon is
in the 9 th Art . of Sec . 1 st ., and ivhich merely regulates the Grand Lodge . I am afraid this will arrive too late ; but if it can possibly be inserted in your truly admirable Journal , You will oblige , Your ' s fraternally , 25 th June , 1835 . A PAST MASTER .

Gd . is exacted from those Avho are installed into the order of " Masonic Knights' Templars . " It ivas insinuated that the fee in question is to cover the expense of registration ; but Avhere such registration is made , by whom , and under Avhat authorityI am not permitted to learnI Avas someAvhat surprised
