SIR , —From au ancient MS . in my possession , it appears that Masonic institutions were proscribed by the British parliament in A . D . 11-25 , the Archbishop of Canterbury being then Grand Master ; and also in 1561 , when Sir Thomas Sackville filled that high office . Can you inform me if those proscriptions have ever been removed ? It appears that in the year 1327 all the peers of parliament were
