[ Composed hy a Member of the Noah ' s Ark Lodge ( No . 435 ) , TIpton ; and snug by Beo . Inge am . )
Air—" Partant pour la Syne " Peoud floating o ' er a world-wide sea , With timbers stout and strong , The first brave ship rode gallantly Diluvian waves among ; Of wreck , of rock , of fire and foe , Secure from dread alarms ,
By Heaven ' s bright smiles above , below , By " th' everlasting arms . " Tho' void of compass , helm , and mast Her wayward course was driven , 'Midst foaming surge and howling blast ,
O er ocean s fountains riven , Yet nought of danger could she know , Assoil'd from countless harms Within , without , above , below , By "th * everlasting arms . "
And when , her lonesome wand'rings o ' er , In wond'rous state she stood Upon the mournful reeking shore , Above the whelming flood ; Bright beam'd aloft the gorgeous bow , — Man ' s gage , amidst alarms , Of Heaven ' s arch-smile above , below , Of th' everlasting arms . "
Thus bounding o ' er Time ' s measured roll , Where empires have gone down , From east to west , from pole to pole , In worship and renown , Our Noble Craft , midst weal and woe , Hath stemm'd the world ' s alarms ,
By Heaven ' s bright smiles above , below , By " th * everlasting arms . "
So Heaven defend our Queen and Craft , — The stout Masonic bark , — And taut and trim make fore and aft Oar Old Noachian Ark ,
Of wreck , of rock , of fire and foe , Close-tyled to all alarms Within , without , above , below , By "th * everlasting arms . "
