The Companions afterwards adjourned to an excellent supper ( served in Bro . Ireland ' s best style ) ; and the whole of proceedings passed off to the great satisfaction of the Comps .

St . Makers Lodge ( under Constitution from the Grand Chapter of Scotland ) , No " . 1 . —The Brethren of this Lodge met at the Freemasons' Tavern on the l & th September , when Bro . Webber was duly advanced to the Degree . The Officers of the Lodge for the ensuing year were arranged as follows : —Bros . Warren , B . W . and Treas . ; Hughes , D . R . W . ; Sharman , S . W . ; T . Adams , J . W » ; C . Harrison , M . O . ; Burton , B . C . ; Webber , J . O . ; Cottrell , Reg . ; Thearle , Sec . ; Williams ,
S . B . ; Armstrong , J . D . ; Norman , As . D . ; Dr . Guest , T . K . ; Simmonds , Stew . ; Crawley , Tyler . The byedaws were agreed to , and several candidates proposed for advancement . Bros . Dr . Walker Arnott , G . Z . of Scotland ; Donald Campbell , D . G . M . for Renfrewshire , G . Sec . of Glasgow , & c . ; and William Gaylor , G . N . of Scotland , were unanimously elected honorary members , in slight acknowledgment of their valuable services in assisting the Brethren to obtain the Charter , In future the Lodge will meet on the third Wednesday in the month .

ARBROATH . The Panmure Lodge . —This Lodge held the first of their winter meetings on Monday , Sept . 8 th , when a variety of Masonic business was despatched . There was an excellent assemblage of the Brethren , considering the early part of the season . A fair and happy commencement was made , auguring- well for the probability of many pleasant reunions which the Brethren of the Order look forward
to in the course of the coming winter . The Panmure Lodge , under the auspices of its respected B . W . M . Kidd , has , these past few years , made great advancement , and has increased in numerical strength , as well as in Masonic spirit and influence in a pre-eminent degree . This Lodge was constituted nearly forty years ago , and took the appellation of the " Panmure" in connection with the proprietor of the large estates of Panmure in the county . The present Baron Panmure holds the office of Prov . Grand Master of Forfarshire .
EDINBURGH . Lodge Canongate and Leitli L . and C . ( No . 5 ) . —The usual monthly meeting took place in the Lodge-room , Constitution-court , Constitution-street , on Tuesday evening , September 2 nd- —B . W . M . Pearson presiding . Two candidates were initiated as E . As ., and four thereafter received the Degree of F . C . Several visitors from English , Continental , and Scottish Lodges w ere present . After business was concluded , the Brethren spent a most harmonious and happy evening .
Lodge Celtic . —A meeting of this Lodge took place at the Turf Hotel , on Friday , September 12 th . H . W . M . Georgiades presided . One initiated as E . P ., one passed to a F . C . ( from Constantinople ) , and one raised to a M . M . The meeting was well attended , and after the business was disposed of , the Brethren spent a most harmonious and happy e \ enmg ' .
