ROYAL MASONIC INSTITUTION FOR BOYS ,
A Quarterly General Court of the Governors and Subscribers was held at the Offices of the institution , No . 34 , Great Queen-street , on Monday , the 1 st of January , 1855 , when the following boys ( in consequence of the number of vacancies exceeding the number of approved candidates ) , were elected to receive the benefits of this charity without ballot . The chair was occupied by Bro . John Hervey , S . G . I ) . : —1 . Tom Miller , born March 1 , 1845 , and residing at Manchester . 2 . Mark Keymer , born February 12 , 1845 ( father deceased ) , and residing at
Colchester , Essex . 3 . Samuel Robert Speight , born June 4 , 1847 ; resides in London . 4 . Edward James Jackson , born March 9 , 1845 ( father died last September , of cholera , during the fearful Golden-square visitation ) , and residing in London . 5 . Alfred James Crichton , born July 14 , 1840 ( father now serving in the Black Sea ) , and residing at Lambeth . * * * The Anniversary Dinner of this Institution , will take place on "Wednesday , the 14 th of March , 1855 , when the attendance of the Governors and subscribers is earnestly requested .
