M ., for which he in reply expressed his thanks and his determination to exert himself to the utmost to conduct the Lodge to the satisfaction of all the members . The health of the visitors—a large number of whom were present , including several officers of the Grand Lodge—was then duly drunk and responded to , and the business of the evening concluded to the entire satisfaction of the members assembled . The W . M . was pleased to appoint Bros . J . Phillipps , S . W . ; M . Gabriel , J . W . ; D . Marks , S . D . ; P . Albert , J . D . ; B . Drukker , I . G . ; D . Moses , Treas . ; Rev . De Solla , Chap . ; L . Anerhaan , M . C , ; Solomons and Isaacs , Stewards ; Lazarus , Sec .

Jordan Lodge ( No . 237 ) . —This Lodge met at the Freemasons' Tavern , on Friday , January 18 th , presided over by Bro . Spooner , W . M ., who raised Bros . Mapp , Laughton , and Spalding to the Sublime Degree of M . M . Bro . Patten , P . M ., Past G . S . B ., then proceeded to initiate his nephew , Mr . Bichard Prall , Jun ., into the mysteries of the Science . Bro . Stuart , P . M ., No . 20 , P . Prov . G . Treas . Kent , and Bro . Bowman , S . W ., No . 125 , were admitted as joining members . Bro . Alex . Young , the Master elect , was afterwards ably installed in the chair by the retiring Master Bro . Spooner , to whom the Lodge

voted a P . M . ' s Jewel , m token of the zeal and attention he devoted to the interests of the Jordan Lodge during the two years he filled the office of Master . The officers were then invested as follows : —Bro . Utton , S . W . ; Bro . Arliss , J . W . ; Bro . Aznavour , S . D . ; Bro . Watts , J . D . ; Bro . Bobinson , I . G . ; Bro . Scambler , P . M ., Treas . ; and Bro . Patten , P . M ., Past G . S . B ., Sec . A contribution was voted towards the fund now raising for a testimonial to Bro . Henry Muggeridge , whose eminent services in connection with the Stability Lodge of Instruction cannot be too highly prized . All business being concluded , the Brethren sat down to a splendid dinner served up in that elegant style for

which this establishment is so justly famed ; nor was the excellence of the wines a matter to pass by unnoticed . The newly-installed W . M . presided at the banquet , and , under his able direction , the usual loyal and Masonic toasts were given and responded to ; which , interspersed by some excellent singing , concluded the proceedings of this most pleasant reunion . A mong the visitors we observed Bro . McCulloch , P . M ., and Bro . Burton , P . M ., both of the Albion Lodge , No . 9 ; Bro . Moore , Bobt . Burns' Lodge , No . 25 ; Bro . Greenfield , Peace and Harmony Lodge , No . 72 ; Bro . Beuler , Lodge of Unity , No . 215 ; and Bro . Beoley , Ionic Lodge , No . 275 .

Lodge of Israel , No . 247 . —The members of this flourishing Lodge met at the St . James ' s Tavern , St . James ' s Place , Aldgate , on the 8 th January , to celebrate the installation of Bro . Henry A . Isaacs , as W . M . On the minutes being confirmed , the W . M . resigned the chair to Bro . Isaac Saqui , Sec . and P . M ., who proceeded to instal the W . M . elect into the chair , and performed that duty in a

manner not to be surpassed for its purity and beauty of expression . The W . M . having invested his Officers , proceeded to initiate into the Order Mr . Michael Isaacs and Mr . John James Draper , the former gentleman being father to the W . M . The scene was truly imposing ; and it must have been highly pleasing to that gentleman at finding , on his entry into Freemasonry , his son placed in such a distinguished position , much respected by all around him , and performing

the ceremonies with the greatest impressiveness and purity . The Brethren then adjourned to a very elegant dinner , and passed a most agreeable evening . There were several visitors present , amongst whom we observed Bros . S . G . Bisch , WM ., No . 228 ; Weeks , W . M ., No . 78 ; C . YanCoor , W . M ., No . 21 . 8 ; Gabriel , S . W ., No . 223 ; Feast , P . M . ; M . Davis , P . M . ; J . Somers , P . M . of the Oak .

Several glees and songs were rendered in the best style , Bro . J . Saqui presiding at the pianoforte . After the usual toasts , Bro . J . If . Freeman proposed the health of the W . M . in a very eloquent speech , suid expressed himself much delighted with the manner the W . M . had performed his Masonic duties . The W . M ., in a very neat speech , thanked the Brethren for the compliment paid him , and observed , if he had been able to display one Masonic ability that had given satis-
