G . ; P . Unthank , Tyler . After the business of the Lodge was closed the Brethren partook of a substantial dinner , provided under the management of Bro . G . Watson .
Tees Lodge ( No . 749 ) . —On Thursday , the 3 rd January , the anniversary of this Lodge was held , when Bro . Joseph Dodds , P . M ., was unanimously called , for the second year , to the office of W . M . The following were also appointed : — Bros . Rev . J . Milner , Chap . ; R . T . Hall , S . W . ; W . B . Baker , J . W . ; J . Aylam , S . D . ; J . J . Wilson , J . B . ; W . Best , I . G . ; J . Settle , Sec . ; W . Graham , Treas . ; N . Armstrong and J . Robinson , Stewards ; J . P . Jewson , Organist , The W . M ., having been installed on the preceding year , It was considered unnecessary , by
authority , to repeat the ceremony . Several Brethren from neighbouring and foreign Lodges were present during the day ' s proceedings , and joined round the refreshment board , where a sumptuous entertainment was provided , under the direction of the Stewards . After the cloth was drawn , the usual loyal and Masonic toasts were given with due honours . The evening was passed in social harmony , and numerous songs were sung by Brethren of superior musical talent , accompanied by Bro . Jewson , Organist . The day was one of unusual improvement and pleasure .

Fidelity Chapter ( No . 3 ) . —At the meeting of this Chapter , at the London Tavern , Jan . 4 , Comps , Shackleton , Grant , and Benwell , were severally installed into the Chairs of Z ., It ., and J ., by Comp . J . N . Tomkins , Past Prin . and Treas . of this Chapter , assisted by Comp . George Biggs , P . G . D . C . After the installation , Bro . S . L . Bensuson , of the South Australian Bodge , No . 613 , was exalted to this Sublime Degree . He expressed himself to have been much gratified at this very interesting ceremony , and as he was shortly to leave England for Australia , he hoped it would be beneficial in that far distant land .
Robert Burns' Chapter . ( No . 25 ) . —A convocation of this Chapter was held at the Freemasons ' Tavern on January 28 . Comps . Newton , Z . ; Robinson , II . ; Sheen , J ., in the absence of Comp . Kir by . Bro . Grelli , of Lodge No . 229 , was duly exalted . The Officers for the ensuing year were then elected , as follows : — Comps . Robinson , Z . ; Kirhy , II . ; Carpenter , J . ; Tombleson , E . ; Allen , N . ; Hewlett , I \ S . ; Blackburn , Treas . A Past Principal ' s Jewel was voted to Comp . Newton , for his services to the Chapter as M . E . Z . during the past year . About thirt y of the Brethren afterwards supped together , and passed a very p leasant evening .
