PROVINCIAL CHAPTERS . Margate , Kent . —Thanet Chapter ( No . 149 ) . —This Chapter was consecrated , at the Koyal Hotel , on Tuesday , January 9 , by Comp . Watson , assisted by Comps . Bobinson and Goring , the whole of whom attended from London for the purpose . The Principals were then installed into their respective Chairs as follows : —Comp . Hervey Boys , Z . ; Comps . Poiassett , H . ; Phipps , J . The following are the other officers : —Comps . Staner , E . - Higgins , N . ; Poussett , Treas . ; Bruling , Beg . ; Phipps , Org . ; Bristow , Jan .

Byde , Isle of Wight . —East Medina Chapter ( No . 204 ) . —The members of this Chapter met on Eriday , the 4 th of January , for installation of Principals , and other business . The chair of the M . E . Z . was occupied for the occasion by Comp . How , P . Z ., No . 593 ., who exalted into this Sublime Degree two Brethren , Gomp . Hearn , the P . Z . and P . D . Prov . CM ., most kindly discharging the duties of P . S . He afterwards installed as M . E . Z . the indefatigable Mason Comp . Hyde Pullen , the D . Prov . G . M . of the Province . The installation of the other Principals was deferred to the next meeting of the Chapter , in consequence of their inability to he present on this occasion .

Leeds , Yorkshire . —Chapter of Fidelity ( No . 364 ) . —The Comps . of this Chapter assembled as usual on Tuesday evening , Jan . 8 , at the Masonic Hall , Park-Crossstreet , when the Chapter was opened in due form . After the minutes of the last Chapter had been confirmed , the ceremony of installation was proceeded with , when the following Comps . were duly installed ; viz ., Comp . Clark , Z . ; Comp . Perkin , J . ; and Comp . Bev . A . F . Woodford , M . A ., H . Comp . Peace , P . Z ,, was the

officiating Principal , and the following Past First Principals were present during the whole of the ceremony , —Comps . Brown , Lee , and John Batley . The other officers for the year were then invested , and there heing no further business , Comp . Peace delivered the third Lecture in a most masterly manner , to the great pleasure of the Comps . assembled . The Chapter was then closed , and the Comps . adjourned to the refreshment room , for an hour ' s fraternal intercourse .

Dudley , Worcestershire . —Royal Standard Chapter ( No . 730 ) . —A convocation of this Chapter was held at the Dudley Arms Hotel , on Friday , the 18 th of January , for the despatch of business ; the names of Bros . Biggott , Williams , Cresswell , Millard , Dixon , and Watkin being on the circular for exaltation ; none of the above-mentioned Brethren , however , coming forward , the convocation was ; closed , and the Companions ( with Comps . T . James and Newsome , of Walsall , as visitors ) adjourned to banquet , which was of the usual recherche description .
