Council , on Friday , October 15 th . The warrant was granted to Bros . Richard William Bradley and Alfred Heather , members of the Order under the old constitution , and Bro . Bradley was installed into the chair by the M . P . Sov . Beside the Council , there were also present Bros . Pullen , Newman , How , W . Minchin , Br . Clarke , J . Ogburn , € L Woolven , and J . L . Eastrick . At the solicitation of Bro . Bradley , the ceremony of installing the following Brethren into the Order was performed by Bro . Pullen : —viz ., Henry Hollingsworth , Henry Wood , A . Nugent , F . Long , J . Steening , W . D . King , Joseph Gait , R . Hockings , W . White , J . D . Brookes , and M . E . Frost . The arrangement of the chambers was ecvually excellent with those at Ryde , and all engaged in the ceremony were alike deserving of commendation , Bros . Cole and Newman , filling the same offices as ~ on the-previous
day . The banquet , which followed , was attended by all present at the ceremony ; and Bro . Bradley , being unfortunately afflicted by deafness , recpiested Bro . Minchin to preside , Bro . Heather filling tho post of First General . The business was not over till late , and hence the banquet was not prolonged , and the toasts were but a repetition of the previous day . Bro . Dr . Leeson briefly explained to the newly admitted members the nature of the constitution of the Ancient and Accepted Rite and its history , hoping that what they had that day seen would bo an inducement for them to persevere in the future lor the attainment of further honours .
