[ Prepared for the Freemasons'Magazine , hy the B . W . Bro . Rob Mobris , of Louisville Kentucky . ] Louisville ^ Kentucky , Seirt . 20 , 1858 . There are three works upon my table to-day , each of which claims more than a passing notice . The Masonic Harp , a collection of Masonic odes , hymns , songs , & c , for the public and private ceremonies , and festivals of the fraternity , by George W . Chase , K . T ., editor of Masonic Journal ? & c , Boston , Massachusetts . Published by Oliver , Ditson & Co . 1858 . 4 to ., pp . 160 . The Harp has several hundreds of Masonic songs , & c , original and otherwise ,
set to melodies , old and new , and printed in such a compact form as to allow the whole to go for sixty cents per copy . The , Freemasons ? Monitor , by Thomas Smith Webb , Past Grand Master , & c , & c . ; to which is added a Monitor of the Ancient and Accepted Kite , thirty-three degrees , including those generally known as the lt Ineffable Degrees , " by E . T . Carson , Sov . Grand Com ., Ohio Grand Consistory oi P . E . S ., 32 degrees . New and illustrated edition . ' Cincinnati , Ohio Applegate & Co . 1858 . 12 mo ., pp . 298 and 1 . 20 .
