Tipton . —Noah ' s Ark Lodge ( Itfo . 354 ) , —The regular monthly meeting of the Brethren , of this Lodge , was held on Friday , Oct , 15 . The W . M ., Bro . Wareing , presided with the proper officers in attendance . Bro . Hopkins , the candidate to be raised to the third degree , being present , the W . M . examined him in the
previous degree , and he retired . The Lodge was then opened in the third degree ; the candidate re-admitted ; and the ceremony of raising him to the degree of a Master Mason correctly and efficiently performed by the W . M . The officers present were Bros . Underbill , S . W . ; Waterhouse , J . W . ; Davison , S . D . The summons to attend a Prov . Grand Lodge on the 26 th was read , and the W . M . expressed a hope that all Brethren who could make it convenient would attend . This Lodge still keeps up its name for efficient working , and while there are officers so well qualified as those above named , it will not be without an able Brother to fill the chair for some time to come .
Wolverhampton . —Lodge of ffonour ( No . f 69 ) . —A meeting of emergency was holden at the Star and Garter , on Friday , 22 nd Oct . Three gentlemen were initiated into Freemasonry ; and four Brethren proposed as joining members . The W . Ml , Bro . Gough , occupied the chair throughout tlio evening , and delivered a lecture , in which he treated with good judgment and ability , " The admission of members , and how far without undue solicitation the members of the Craft may be recruited by a word in season to a worthy friend or relative . **
West ? Beomwioh . —Dartmouth Lodge ( No . 960 ) . —The annual festival and installation of the W . M . for the ensuing year , took place on the 8 th inst . The W . M .., Bro . Jeavon , having opened the Lodge iu the first degree , the Prov . Q . K ., Col . Vernon , was announced , and entered the Lodge , accompanied by his Prov . G . officers , and was saluted by the Brethren with the usual honours . The Prov . G . M . having taken the chair , called upon the Secretary to read the summons for this and the minutes of the last meeting , and put the latter for confirmation .
Tfye Proy . G . M . congratulated the Brethren on the prosperity of their Lodge , the efficiency of their officers in the discharge of the duties of their several offices , and the regularity of their attendance . The chair was then taken by the W . Bro . Thos . James , P . M ., who proceeded to install the W . M . elect , Bro . W . B . Hay ley , which he did with his usual ability , The W . M . was proclaimed and saluted in due form ; and having invested his officers , closed the Lodge , and adjourned to banquet .
