The Order in Maine appears to be in a flourishing condition , and peace and harmony prevails throughout the jurisdiction . The reports of the district Deputy Grand Masters , numbering ten ( the state being divided into that number of districts ) , abound with valuable information , and show the condition
as well as the working of the Craft in their particular localities . The Grand Lodge has a charity fund of $ 5 , 800 . The expenses of the Grand Lodge exceeding the income , the constitution was amended , changing the fee to the Grand Lodge for each initiation from one to two dollars . The committee on returns , report returns made by all the Lodges except three .
