Albion Lodge ( No . -9 ) . —The first meeting of this Lodge for the season was held on Tuesday , the 5 th instant , Bro . Perry man , W . M ., in the chair ,, supported by Bro . Hughes , S . W . 5 Bro . Mitchell , J / W ., and the following P . Ms ., Bros . C . Lee , Friend , Valentine , James Burton , and Rackstraw , Sec . The Lodge being duly opened , Bro . Palmer was entrusted with the sublime degree of M . M . The Lodge
having been resumed to the first degree , the W . M . gaye notice that he had received a letter from Bro . Farnfield , secretary to the " Annuity Fund , " & c , soliciting a steward for the festival , which takes place in January next , and Bro . Burton , P . M ., with that readiness which has ever characterized his Masonic conduct , declared his willingness to represent the Lodge , adding that he was determined never to cease agitating until he saw the «¦ QM Kan ' s Asylum and the Widow ' s Fund" in as prosperous a state as the Boys ' and Girls ' Schools .
RDbekt Burns Lodge ( No . 25 ) . —The Lodge met for the first time this season at the Freemasons' Tavern , on Monday , the 4 thlnstant . Bro . Chas . Bennett , W . M ., took the chair at six o ' cloqk 5 Bros . Hewton , Watson ^ ClemeHts , and other P . Ms , agisting in fte business . Bro , Bedford was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason , at the conclusion of which , Bros . Fletcher , Newall , Welch , and Edmonds were introduced and passed to" the second degree , and Mr . Gray was initiated into the Order . Bro . Newton , RM .,, the Secretary , announced that the Lodge was in a
highly flourishing condition , out of debt , and £ 150 invested for the Burns Fund of Benevolence , and he felt much pleasure in stating that a similar sum had been disbursed from the fund since its formation , for the benefit of indigent members . Lodge have been called off , the Brethren adjourned to refreshment , presided over by Bro . Bennett . The toast of " The visitors " was responded to by Bro . Laing , of Copenhagen , who took the opportunity of stating that the King of Sweden , as Grand Master of Sweden and Norway , regularly attended his Masonic duties , and was seldom , if ever , absent from Lodge .
Egyptian Lodge ( No . 29 ) . ~ -This Lodge held its first meeting this season on Thursday , the 7 th instant , at the George and Blue Boar tavern , Holborn , Bro . Marjoram , W . M ., presiding . The ceremony of exalting Bro . Findley to the suhlime degree of M . M . was most beautifully executed by Bro . Shepherd . The other business being finished , the Brethren adjourned to refreshment , presided over by their much respected Sec . and P . M ., Bro . Buss . The visitors \ veref Bro . Chamberlain , from the United States ; Bro . Benjamin Banks , sen ., . Nos . 212 , 902 , & e . Bros . Cock and Driver , No . 955 , and others .
Eoyal Jubilee Lodge ( No . 85 ) . —This Lodge resumed its labours after the vacation , at Anderton ' s Hotel , Fleet Street , on Monday , October 4 , a large number of the Brethren being present , presided over by Bro . Law « on , W . M ., assisted by Bro . Frederick Clemow , S . W ., and by Past Mastery Bros . Hay ward , Parr , and Oarfield . Mr . Evans was introduced as a candidate for the honours of Freemasonry by Bro . Hay ward , P . M . Lodge was then closed , and the Brethren adjourned to banquet , after which a pleasant evening was spent . The visitors were Bros . Sowden , W . M ., ( No . 57 ); Batley , P . M ., ( No . 745 ); Franklin , ( No . 745 ); and J \ fackreath ; ( No . 221 ) , Bristol .
Temple Lodge ( No . 118 ) . —The first meeting of the Lodge for the season was held on Tuesday , October 5 , when the W . M ,, Bro . Hastelow , presided , assisted by Bro . Wynne , as P . M ., aided by his officers . The W . M ., in a most able manner , parsed Bro . Dawkes . Bro . E . MacNamara , of the Royal Pavilion Hotel , Woolwich , wae , on the proposition of Bro . Thos . Beard , the Secretary ^ unanimously elected q , joining member . After the disposal of some ordinary business , the Brethren partook of refreshment , and after spending a happy evening , adjourned .

M . in the chair , supported by Bro . Cornicle as S . W ., and Bro . Shury , J . W . The following were also present : ~—Bros . Dr . Winter , R Winter , W . Stopher , J . Caney , D . Battle , G .
