Lodge of Antiquity ( No . 2 ) . —At the meeting of this Lodge on February 24 , Bro . Colonel Western in the chair , supported by his Grace the Duke of Manchester , S . W ., Bro . Thory Chapman as J . W ., and the following visitors , Bro . J . Newton Tomkins , P . CD ., Bro . Crew , P . M ., and Bro . Barrett , P . M ., the W . M . ably initiated two gentlemen into the Order , Mr , Leith Tomkins ( eldest son of the Grand Treasurer find P . M . of the Lodge ) , and Mr . Eobins . The Ceremony of the evening derived additional solemnity from the performance on the organ by Bro . Horsley , G . Org . After a sumptuous banquet , the usual routine toasts were received with the utmost enthusiasm . Bro . N . Tomkins , in
returning thanks for "The Visitors , alluded to the gratification he felt in welcoming bis nephew as a member of the Order through so distinguished a Lodge as the Lodge of Antiquity . Bro . Crew ( as a visitor ) , following the same view , happily remarked "that lie was rejoiced to see a father bringing bis son into Masonry , as a sure proof that he considered it would tend to make him a wiser and better man . " The musical arrangements of the evening , under the superintendance of Bro . Jolley , were as usual , perfect . Bro . Crew delighted the company with two of his very best songs . Old King ' s Arms Lodge ( No . 30 ) . —This Lodge met at the Freemasons ' Tavern on Monday , February 22 . The Lodge was visited by Bro . Abbot , No . 9 ,
