SOMERSETSHIRE . k Bath . — -Royal Cumberland Lodge ( No . 48 ) . — This Lodge assembled on Thursday , the 4 th inst ., in their Masonic Hall , the Corridor , under the able presidency of Bro . Ashley , the W . M ., when Messrs . F . 0 . George and John Ruble were most ably initiated into the mysteries of the Order . The business of the evening being concluded , a resolution was passed , allowing the Brethren of the Royal Sussex Lodge , No . 61 , the use of their beautiful hall on the annual payment of a small rental , thus illustrating the beneficial results of the late Masonic reunion in that city which , we trust , has cemented those bonds of fraternal regard never again to
be severed ; indeed , the numerous visitors from the sister Lodges that evening fully proved their anxiety to carry out those true ! Masonic feelings so fully expatiated on by the Worshipful Bro . Falconer ( the inayor of Bath ) , at the dinner on the 10 th of Feb ., which was fully reported in our Magazine on the 17 th , and which , we trust , has been read by all our subscribers ; indeed , we could wish with sincerity by every member of the Order , because if those principles were fully developed , and every brother would read , mark , learn , and inwardly digest those doctrines , they would effectually allay any feeling of irritation or jealousy , and subdue any unbecoming thoughts that might obtrude themselves in the performance of their Masonic duties .
