Z . as Z ., in the absence of Comp . G . Anson , through continued illness ; R . Warner Wheeler , H . ; W . Pulteney Scott ( 1 st G . A . S . ) , J . The minutes of the former meeting of the Chapter having been confirmed , Comp . Henderson , in the most effective manner , proceeded to install the three Principals elect , Comps . R . Warner Wheeler , Z . ; W . Pulteney Scott , H . ; Br . Tullock , J .

John Whichcord , F . S . A ., of the Jerusalem Lodge , 223 ; W . Aurelius Harland , and Henry Jeffreys Tarrant , of the Zetland Lodge in the East , No . 768 , Hong Kong , were then exalted to the sublime degree of K . A . Masons . The whole of this interesting and beautiful ceremony , being performed hy the three newly installed Principals in a manner which elicited the warmest commendations from all present , many of the P . Zs . stating they had never seen better working in
either Lodge or Chapter . Amongst the visitors we noticed Comp . T . H . Hall , G . Supt . Cambridgeshire , and P . Z . of this Chapter ; J . Nelson , P . G . S . B ., and P . Z . 324 ; Rev . W . Westall , P . Z . 7 ; J . Wilkinson , P . Z . 338 , Brighton ; J . Masson , P . G . S . B . ; Slight , J ., 593 ; Hamilton , No . 1 , Ireland ; Dr . Halley , No . 1 , Scotland , & c , & c . j The Companions , about thirty in number , afterwards adjourned to the banquet , and passed a most pleasant evening , Comp . Crew adding to the harmony some of his delightful songs , and it was remarked by many
of his old friends that he was never in better voice . Comp . Hall , as an old P . Z . of this Chapter , proposed the health of the three Principals , and congratulated the Chapter upon having placed such efficient Companions in the Chairs . He trusted the Chapter would excuse him if he more especially alluded to the 1 st Principal , Comp . Wheeler , whom he had long looked upon as his child in Masonry , he having been admitted into the Craft in the Province of Cambridge , over which he held rule as Prov . G . M ., and whom upon leaving the University lie had the pleasure
