* RE-ELECTION OF GEAND MASTEE . On the resumption of business , Bro . F . Slight , P . M . No . 109 , said he had great pleasure in proposing the re-election of the Bight Hon . Earl of Zetland , as Grand Master for the ensuing year . He should not detain the Brethren further than by saying , that every member of the Craft who had the privilege of attending
Grand Lodge must have had ample opportunity of observing the ability , courtesy , and dignity with which his lordship presided over them . ; and those Brethren who were admitted more intimately to liis counsels , bore testimony to the care and attention which his lordship bestowed upon every thing concerning the welfare of the Craft . He should say no more than now propose that the Right Honourable Thomas Dundas Earl of Zetland be for the fourteenth time re-elected
Grand Master of the United Grand Lodge of England . ( Cheers . ) Bro . Hay , No . 805 , seconded the motion . The R . W . D . G . M . put the motion to the Lodge , and it was unanimously agreed to . Bro . Thory Chapman , Asst * G . Dir . of Cers ., proclaimed the re-election of his lordship in the usual form , and called upon the Brethren to salute him with the usual honours . The M . W . G . M . returned thanks to the Brethren for having acrain unanimousl y I lie M . W . G . M . returned thanks to the Brethren for having again unanimously
re-elected him to preside over them . He would repeat what he had stated on former occasions , that so long as he possessed the confidence of the Craft , he would devote all his endeavours to promote its interests . Never on any former occasion had he experienced a more gratifying exhibition of their confidence than he had on that evening , and in return he could only say that his utmost exertions were at the service of the Brethren . On the motion of Bro . Barrett , Bro . Tomkins was re-elected Grand Treasurer , and his reelection proclaimed in the usual manner .

M . announced that our royal brother ^ the King of Hanover had iiomiliated His Boyal Highness the Prince of 8 ohns Brauonfe \ ds representative from the Grand Lodge of Hanover at the United Grand Lodge of England , and that he ( the M . W . G . M . ) had appointed Bro . the Earl of Durham representative of the Grand Lodge of England at the Grand Lodge of Hanover . CANADA .
