The consecration of aMasonic Lodge at Bridlington Quay had the effect of
bringing together some hundreds of the people from Bridlington and the villages in the neighbourhood , who evidently anticipated witnessing a gorgeous parade of Masons and l ^ asoiiic paraphernalia . The Brethren were much surprised , on their quitting the Lodge after consecration , to see the number of people congregated together ; and some difficulty was experienced in elbowing their way to the banqueting room at the ^ Britannia Hotel .
We cannot closei this report without alluding to the admirable style in which the banquet was served up by Mr . Bycroft , the proprieto It included every delicacy of the season , and great praise was given to that gentleman for hisattention to all present . We may add in conclusion , that the Brethren will even have a hearty welcome , from all parts , to the Londesborough Lodge , that there is first-class accommodation in the place , as well as natural marine beauties few places can boast of , and the promise of his lordship to visit the Lodge himself this summer , all which combine to make it attractive .
