PROVINCIAL . Birmingham . — Vernon Chapter . —A convocation of this Chapter of S . P . R . C ., H . R . D . M . j was holden at Dee ' s Hotel , Birmingham , on Tuesday , the 25 th ult . The minutes of the last meeting Were read and confirmed . The ballot was then taken for the Hon . W . Warren Vernon as a candidate for installation , and was unanimously favourable ; being in attendance he was duly installed a S . P . of the Order . The Brethren were highly gratified by the admirable manner in which tho
M . W . Sov . ; Bro . Ward , conducted the ceremony . A letter was read from Bro . Copeland tendering his resignation in consequence of his ill health obliging him to reside abroad . The resignation was accepted . The Secretary was requested , when writing to him , to express the regret the Brethren felt at losing as a member one whom all so much esteemed , and to hope that restoration to health would soon permit him to rejoin them .
