W ., was elected W ; M . for the ensuing year Bro . Bateirian , P . M ., was re-elected Treasurer ; and Bro . Jeffe , Tyler .
Vgrnon Lodge ( No . 819 ) . —The last meeting of this Lodge took place at the Old Town Hall on Wednesday the 16 th inst . The candidates being absent > no ceremonies were g ^^ through . The Secretary read a memorial , which was dra \ vn up at the suggestion of the Prov . G . M ., respecting the differences between the Vernon Lodge and the Ionic , and the W . M . stated that he had signed it and forwarded it to lie Board of General Purposes , We understand that Bro . Sheridan backs the memorial by a separate application to the Board .

METROPOLITAN CHAPTER . Domatio Chapter ( No . 206 ) . —This Chapter held its usual convocation on Thursday last , at the Masonic Hall , Fetter-lane , Comp . T . A . Adams , as M . E . Z ., in the absence of Comp . Thompson , who is in a distant part of the kingdom . The visitors were Comps Earnfield , Assist . G . Sec , and Pratt , the former returning thanks for the toast of the " Yisitors , " and also responding to
the toast of the " Charities , " to which the M . E . Z . called attention in a very feeling and effective speech . Comp . Earnfield , in the course of his remarks , mentioned a number of striking facts in connection with the charity for Aged Masons and their Widows , his object being * to urge the claims of that institution on the consideration and sympathy of the Comps . Comps . Gr . Smith , Odell , and Buss also spoke upon the subject , and we cannot doubt that this charity will , before long , attain to that position which it ought to hold in the Craft .
