Peter ' s , on Thurday , the 27 th instant ^ under the presidency of Bro * Wm . H . Cox , W . M ., who initiated Mr . Henry Casper and Mr . Samuel Woolsey into Masonry . Bro . James Da wham , the S . W . of the Lodge , intimated that lie should like to initiate the next candidate , which request was
granted by the W . M . Mr . Bhichen Slack was accordingly balloted for , and initiated by the S . W . ; Mr . James G . Simpson was also initiated by Bro . H , S . Mason , P . M . This being the first time Bros . Cox and Dawbarn had performed the ceremony , the Lodge eulogised the W . M . and S . W . for their efficient working . A large number of the Brethren and visitors were present . After confirming the propositions of the previous Lodge meeting , the Brethren retired to refreshment , and spent a joyous evening .
