OXFORDSHIRE . PROVINCIAL GRAND LODGE . On Friday , May the 21 st , the Prov . G . M . for Oxtordshire , Bro . Henry Atkins Bowyer , held the annual meeting of the Provincial Gr ^ Hall > which was attended by the Worshipful Master , Officers , and Brethren of the various Lodges in the Province . After receiving the reports of Lodges , and voting the annual grants to the Masonic and city charities , the Prov . G . M . observed that he most sincerely congratulated tne various Lodges on the
excellent reports presented to him , showing how much Masonry flourished , and more particularly did he congratulate the Apollo University Lodge ; for after the splendid dejeilner given by them in Worcester College gardens , and the magnificent entertainment provided by them last year , on the occasion of the visit of the Grand Master of England , the Earl of Zetland , at the Town Hall , he must express his surprise at the good management tha . t appeared in their financial report ; and he took that occasion to observe that the Grrand Master had expressed to him his delight at his visit s and his approbation of all the arrangements made on that occasion .

After the investiture of the various Officers , and before closing the Lodge , the Provincial Grand Master observed that he must express to the Brethren personally his entire satisfaction with the working of Masonry in this Province ; that , during the time he had presided over them , nothing had occurred to mar the pleasure of being their Provincial Master , and that the uniform kindness he experienced on every occasion was most gratifying to his feelings , and was deeply felt by him ,
In the afternoon the Churchill Lodge met to install their newly-elected W . M ,, Bro . C . J . Martyn , of Ch . Ch ., which ceremony was most admirably performed by Bro . the Rev . J . G .
